Since we last updated the Sheriff’s report in November, a car was vandalized in El Granada,  a teen party in the wooded hill at the end of Coral Reef went bad, a missing hiker was found at the end of Coral Reef, a car was burglarized on the Cowell Purisima trailhead, a car was vandalized in Montara, a locked car was stolen on the 300 block of 3rd street in Montara.

Deputies contacted a subject and found that he had an outstanding $7500 warrant for his arrest. He was taken to the county jail.

On 12/03/11, between 0100 and 0500 hours, unknown suspects smashed three windows and punctured all four tires of the victim’s vehicle.

Incident Report
A citizen called to report that 25-30 teenagers had gone into the wooded hill area at the end of Coral Reef to have a party. Deputies contacted one of the party goers who appeared to be injured. She was distraught that her boyfriend broke up with her and she jumped on the hood of his vehicle and was thrown off. She denied medical attention.

On 12/04/11 at approximately 0101 hours, Deputies were conducting a patrol check of Corral Reef and Sevilla Avenue in El Granada. While in the area, Deputies spoke with a resident who said there were several subjects drinking in the forest. Deputies drove up the dirt road to find a subject being carried down the hill. The subject was unconscious and breathing. The Deputies were told that the 14 year old had been drinking hard liquor. Deputies requested fire and medics to evaluate the subject. The subject was put into the patrol vehicle to be taken to the bottom of the hill and be treated by medics. As the Deputies continued up the hill to turn around, they noticed a bonfire and several subjects running into the brush. Two subjects stood by as Deputies drove up. They were staying with a third subject who was laying on the ground semi-conscious and breathing. He was also taken off the hill to medics. Fire was notified about the bonfire and went up the hill to extinguish it. Both subjects were transported to a local hospital to be treated for alcohol intoxication.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft. The RP told them that unknown suspects stole a “walk behind rubber track carrier” commonly known as a Power Wheel Barrow – Dump Crawler. The carrier was entered into the stolen property system.

Deputies made a traffic stop on the driver of a vehicle that was having trouble staying within the designated lines of the highway. The driver was found to be driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

On December 3, 2011, a citizen reported that she became the victim of identity theft when unknown suspects made an unauthorized purchase online with her ATM.  She contacted her bank, who cancelled her card.

Unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse containing cash, credit cards a cell phone and various other items. The estimated loss is $1200.

Incident Report
Deputies were flagged down on the highway by a group of people standing around a person on the ground. Deputies were told that a female had just been struck by a vehicle. Fire and medics were called to the scene. The female was air lifted to the hospital for further medical treatment.

Incident Report
Deputies were dispatched to a report of a missing hiker. The missing hiker had contacted his friend and told him that he had been hiking for several hours and did not know where he was. With the help of the CHP air unit the hiker was located at the top of Montara Mountain. He was air lifted to the Half Moon Bay Airport and transported by ground to Seton Medical Center in Daly City for a medical evaluation.

Deputies were dispatched to Johnson Pier on a report of a dog bite. The victim of the bite received three puncture wounds from the bite but refused medical attention and said that she would seek it on her own. Peninsula Humane Society was contacted and will be investigating the incident.

The victim of an auto burglary parked her vehicle and went for a walk on the beach. When she returned she found that unknown subjects had broke into her vehicle and took her purse. Within two hours her credit cards were used at two different locations.

Another citizen called to report that his vehicle was also broken into at the same location. The thieves took a backpack containing miscellaneous items. His loss was estimated at $685.

The victim reported that he had parked his vehicle at Ano Nuevo State Beach and went surfing. When he returned he found that someone had broken the front passenger window to his vehicle and took his cell phone, car keys, wallet and his pants.

Between Friday, January 16, 2011, 2100 hours, and Saturday, January 17, 2011, 1900 hours, an unknown suspect(s) used an unknown instrument to deflate the victim’s 4 vehicle tires.  The victim estimates a total loss of approximately 800.00 if the tires can not be repaired.

On 12/18/2011 at approximately 1443 hours, Deputies conduct a traffic stop in the area of Highway 1 and Tunitas Creek Rd. in Unincorporated San Mateo County.  During a probation search of the vehicle, a glass smoking pipe and a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was located. The subject was arrested for violations of H & S 11377 -  Possession of Methamphetamine, H & S 11364 - Possession of an Opium Pipe and Vehicle Code 12500(A), Unlicensed Driver.  The subject was transported to the San Mateo County Jail for booking.

The suspect went to work to check on her schedule. While there, she was involved in a verbal argument with another employee regarding a prior relationship.  The argument escalated and the suspect threatened the victim.  Before leaving the premises, the suspect picked up a handful of steak knives and threw them at the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Deputies contacted a subject to serve an arrest warrant. One warrant was for HS11550A Under the influence of a controlled substance and the other was an out of state “no bail” warrant. The warrants were confirmed and the subject was arrested and taken to the county jail.

The victim parked his vehicle in the driveway of his residence and locked it. When he returned the following day he found the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle Database.

The driver of a vehicle drove her vehicle into a store front causing damage to the building and food items. There were no injuries just property damage. Both parties exchanged information.

Deputies made a traffic enforcement stop and found the driver to be driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and taken to the county jail.
