Auto burglary in Montara, public intoxication in El Granada, commercial burglary in El Granada, DUI, more public intoxication, and this:

Deputies were dispatched to check the beach for a suspicious crate. The crate was labeled “Do Not Handle” and “Flammable.” The Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was notified and responded. The crate was taken by the Bomb Squad to be disposed of properly.


Auto Burglary
03/09/11 @ 1137 hours
10th Street, Montara
Unknown suspects entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took various items.

Public Intoxication
03/10/11 @ 0425 hours
100 block of Madrid Ave, El Granada
On this listed date and time Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance call. Upon arrival they made contact with a subject.  His eyes were red, glassy and watery. His speech was rapid and slurred and Deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol about his person. Due to his intoxicated condition, he was unable to follow simple instructions and was unable to care for himself. He is currently having a conflict with a neighbor who lives downstairs in a separate apartment. For the past two nights he has consumed a large amount of alcohol and in the early hours of the morning, left his apartment to continually bang on the neighbor’s door and yelled profanities at him. Due to his intoxicated condition, he was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

Commercial Burglary
03/10/11 @ 0910 hours
400 block of Avenue Alhambra, El Granada
Between 03/09/2011 at 2200 hours and 03/10/2011 at 0910 hours unknown suspects used a key to enter a business. The suspects stole $136 in cash, eight employee paychecks, a key to the storage container, and a small safe.

Beach Avenue, Moss Beach
Deputies were dispatched to check the beach for a suspicious crate. The crate was labeled “Do Not Handle” and “Flammable.” The Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was notified and responded. The crate was taken by the Bomb Squad to be disposed of properly.

DUI
03/11/11 @ 2350 hours
Cabrillo Hwy / Wavecrest Road, El Granada
Deputies were monitoring traffic when they noticed a dark colored vehicle traveling southbound on Hwy 1. The driver of the vehicle was having trouble maintaining control of the vehicle and staying within the designated lines of the highway. Deputies stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver. They could smell the odor of alcohol coming from the driver. The driver admitted to alcohol consumption before driving. Field Sobriety tests were conducted and failed. The driver was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Public Intoxication
03/12/11 @ 0413 hours
11000 San Mateo Road, Half Moon Bay
Deputies were dispatched to a call regarding a man calling for help and possible subjects with guns. Deputies contacted the subject and immediately noticed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. He told the Deputies that two men drove him to a bar in Redwood City. After leaving the bar the driver told him that there was a gun under the seat of the vehicle. They drove him to a house in Half Moon Bay then left him alone for a period of time. He felt uneasy so he walked away from the house and called police. He could not describe the subjects or their truck. He was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Warrant Arrest
03/13/11 @ 0729 hours
300 block of Columbus Street, El Granada
Deputies contacted the resident in an attempt to serve a warrant. The subject was contacted, the warrant was confirmed, he was arrested and taken to the county jail.
