In the last two weeks, we’ve seen auto burglaries in El Granada (2) and Pescadero, DUI’s and public intoxication, a lost hiker in Pescadero, cocaine in El Granada, tires destroyed in El Granada, residential burglary in Moss Beach, theft of a hatch cover in Princeton, robbery and false imprisonment on San Mateo Road, and this from Princeton, which some Coastsiders might be able to relate to:

Unknown suspects too seven “No Parking” signs from two separate businesses. The total loss was estimated at $140.


Auto Burglary
11/25/10 @ 1830 hours
500 block of Valencia Ave, El Granada
Unknown suspects forced entry to the victim’s locked vehicle by smashing the window. They attempted to remove the victim’s car stereo. The total loss was approximately $350.

DUI
11/25/10 @ 0001 hours
Pilarcitos Ave / Pine Ave, Half Moon Bay
Deputies made a traffic stop and contacted the driver. As they were approaching the driver’s side window they noticed approximately 10 empty beer cans on the floor of the vehicle. They could smell the odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were conducted and failed. The driver did not have a driver’s license. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Burglary
11/26/10 @ 0730 hours
Johnson Pier, Princeton
A commercial fishing boat Captain went to sleep on his unlocked boat in Pillar Point Harbor on 11/15/2010 at approximately 2330 hrs, and subsequently woke-up the following morning at about 0730 hrs to discover his wallet and its contents missing from the table where he had left it.  No other persons were residing on the boat and no suspects were seen or heard. A total of $80.00 in cash was taken, along with a driver’s license, and miscellaneous credit cards.

Public Intoxication
11/25/10 @ 2327 hours
100 block of Santa Anna St, El Granada
Deputies were dispatched to a report of a male subject refusing to give a female subject the keys to her vehicle. Deputies stood by while the keys were returned. They were later dispatched to the same residence on a report of the same male subject pounding on the glass door to the residence frightening the occupants. The male was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Public Intoxication
11/26/10 @ 1321 hours
Johnson Pier, Princeton
Deputies responded to the Harbor on a report of an intoxicated subject who verbally threatened the reporting party. The reporting party told Deputies that the subject had spat in his face while talking to him. An argument started and the subject threatened to kick the reporting party’s butt. The subject told Deputies that he had consumed four Bloody Marys prior to the argument. After conducting field sobriety tests Deputies determined that the subject was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Auto Burglary
11/26/10 @ 1200 hours
Pescadero State Beach, Pescadero
Between 1100 hours and 1200 hours on 11/26/10, unknown suspect(s) smashed the passenger side rear window of the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the north parking lot at Pescadero State Beach in unincorporated San Mateo County.  The victim’s white leather purse was taken from the rear seat area.  Within the purse was the victim’s brown leather checkbook wallet, a Wells Fargo Bank Checkbook $100.00 in US currency, a pair of tri-focal eyeglasses, a Colorado driver’s license, A Bank of America VISA credit card and a Wells Fargo VISA credit card. 

Incident Report
11/26/10 @ 1530 hours
9500 block of Pescadero Creek Rd, Pescadero
Deputies and Fire personnel responded to a report of a lost hiker. The female hiker left for a hike by herself. When she did not return by dark her family and friends called for assistance. She later returned to her campsite and told the Deputies that she fell down a ravine and had trouble getting out. She appeared to be in good condition and refused medical assistance.

Paloma Ave / Valencia Ave, El Granada
Unknown suspects forced entry into the victim’s vehicle by smashing the window. Two cell phone chargers were taken.

Public Intoxication
11/28/10 @ 1357 hours
Etheldore St. / Vermont Ave, Moss Beach
A male subject was contacted at the Moss Beach Park located at the intersection of Etheldore Street and Vermont Avenue in Unincorporated San Mateo County. He had the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. He had red bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and was extremely unsteady on his feet. He was so intoxicated that he was unable to care for himself. He was arrested at the scene, transported and booked into the county jail.

Drugs
11/29/10 @ 0752 hours
400 block of Franklin St, El Granada
On 11/29/10, a female was contacted at her residence located on Francisco Street in El Granada on a welfare check of drug activity that was requested by family members. During the contact, approximately 15 grams of cocaine were located inside the residence. She was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Vandalism
11/29/10 @ 1400 hours
400 block of The Alameda, El Granada
Between 11-26-2010 at approximately 1200 hours and 11-27-2010 at approximately 1400 hours, unknown suspect(s) cut holes in the front and rear driver’s side tires on the victim’s truck. The incident occurred on the 400 block of The Alameda in El Granada The victim estimated the total loss at approximately $800.00.

11/29/10 @ 1730 hours
600 Block of Mirada Road, Miramar
Deputies contacted a subject who was soliciting magazines in the area without a license. The subject was cited. The subject was also cited in a nearby city two weeks prior.

DUI
11/30/10 @ 0227 hours
Cabrillo Hwy / Marine Blvd, Princeton
Deputies made a traffic stop after observing a vehicle weaving all over the highway. They contacted the driver and found that he was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Chamomile lane, Moonridge
Deputies contacted a subject known to have an outstanding warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was arrested.

Robbery / False Imprisonment
11/20/10 @ 2000 hours
12000 block of San Mateo Road
Deputies were dispatched to contact a female subject who reported that a male subject had contacted her, prevented her from leaving and took her cell phone preventing her from calling for help. The male was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Medical
11/20/10 @ 0207 hours
Cabrillo Hwy / Miramontes Point Road
A male subject was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation after Deputies found him walking on the highway in the middle of the night. He made comments that concerned the Deputies with his well being.

Warrant Arrest
11/21/10 @ 1053 hours
200 block of 3rd St. Montara
Deputies contacted a subject during a probation search. The subject was found to be in possession of drugs. He was uncooperative with the Deputies resisting arrest. He was arrested and taken to the county jail for probation violation and resisting arrest.

400 block of Lancaster, Moss Beach
Deputies went to the listed address to contact a subject about an outstanding warrant. The subject was located and the warrant was confirmed. The subject was taken to the county jail.

Pear Orchard Way, Moonridge
Deputies attempted to serve a warrant at the listed address. They contacted a subject matching the description and confirmed both his identity and the information on $20.000 warrant. He was taken to the county jail.

Residential Burglary
11/10/10 @ 2100 hours
400 block of Lancaster Blvd.
Between 1330 and 2100 hours on 11/18/2010, a residential burglary occurred on Lancaster Avenue in Moss Beach.  Nobody was home during the crime.  Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked rear door of the residence and took several items.  The missing items included jewelry and video gaming equipment with an estimated total value of approximately $1,200.

Johnson Pier, Princeton
Between 11/17/2010, at 1400 hours, and 11/20/2010, at 1500 hours, an unknown suspect stole an insulated hatch cover which was left unsecured on the bed of the victim’s vehicle.  The victim estimated the total loss to be 3000.00 dollars.

Unknown suspects used the victim’s personal information to try and open an account in their name.

Theft
11/23/10 @ 1748 hours
200 block of Yale, Princeton
Unknown suspects too seven “No Parking” signs from two separate businesses. The total loss was estimated at $140.

DUI
11/23/10 @ 1614 hours
Cabrillo Hwy / Capistrano, Princeton
Deputies were dispatched to a possible drunk driver traveling southbound on Highway 1. Deputies located the vehicle and contacted the driver. The driver displayed the sign of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were conducted and failed. The driver was arrested and taken to the county jail.
