No car break-ins this week. Three cars were stopped for vehicle code violations in Moss Beach in a single night and found to contain drugs.  A escapee from Log Cabin Detention Facility was captured. Survivors of a boat crash called from a highway call box. A car stolen from Half Moon Bay was recovered in Pescadero. And much more.

1100 block of Tamarind St. Montara
Unknown suspects stole a large sink from the front yard of the victim’s residence.

09/08/10 @ 2107 hours
400 block of Virginia Ave. Moss Beach
Driver was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be driving with a suspended license. Drugs were found in his vehicle. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Cabrillo Hwy / California Ave. Moss Beach
Driver was stopped for a vehicle code violation. A consensual search of her vehicle revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Driver was stopped for a vehicle code violation. Passenger was found to be on probation with search and seizure. He was found to be in possession of drugs. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Incident Report
09/11/10 @ 0653 hours
17000 block of Cabrillo Hwy Cowell Ranch
Three men and a dog were contacted at a call box along Hwy one. Their boat crashed into rocks and broke into pieces. The three were able to swim ashore and walk to the call box. All three were taken to a local hospital for further examination. The dog was later picked up at the Sheriff’s Substation.

Two male subjects were arrested for drugs after a report of a person acting crazy in front of the residence.

DUI

Capistrano / Hwy 1, El Granada
A female subject was stopped for driving without her headlights on. She was found to be DUI. She was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Montara State Beach
Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance. Two people were arguing over space on the beach.

100 block of Mirada Road, Miramar
Deputies responded to a report of a dog bite. The dog snapped at a child causing a scratch and bruising near his eye.

Warrant Arrest

400 block of Capistrano Road, Princeton
Deputies made a traffic stop and found that the driver had an outstanding no bail warrant out of Yolo County. She was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Vehicle Recovery
09/13/10 @ 0400 hours
Hwy 1 / Rossi Rd, Pescadero
Deputies were conducting a search for witnesses to a grass fire when they located an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was stolen out of Half Moon Bay. The owner arrived and took possession of the vehicle.

Escape
09/13/10 @ 0750 hours
Log Cabin Rd, Pescadero
A juvenile walked away from Log Cabin Juvenile Detention Facility without permission. He later returned to the facility after he saw Sheriff’s Deputies looking for him.

Theft

Johnson Pier, Princeton
Unknown subjects took the victims bicycle and lock mechanism.

California Ave, Moss Beach
An elderly male was taken to the hospital for an evaluation after it was determined that he was unable to care for himself.

Cabrillo Hwy / Marine Blvd, Moss Beach
Deputies made a traffic stop. The driver pulled over, exited his vehicle and ran into heavy vegetation. The driver was told to come out with his hands up or K-9’s would be released to locate him. He came out, was arrested and taken to the county jail.
