SWAT team arrests six in El Granada

Twenty-five Sheriff’s Office SWAT team members entered a home on Corona in the El Granada Mobile Home Park and arrested six people inside, last Friday at 3pm.

While on patrol, Deputies had developed information regarding a series of thefts and burglaries that had occurred both locally and in Pacifica. This information led them to the home in El Granada to serve a “high risk search warrant”. The Sheriff’s Office Detectives followed up with the search and recovered stolen property, and drugs.

12-10-04 Drug Arrest 04-11206 Montara

Deputies were in the vicinity of 3rd Street in Montara looking for a suspect in an attempted burglary that had just occurred when they came in contact with a suspect that is known to be on probation. The subject had a female passenger in the vehicle with him. The female subject,  age 19, of Carmel was interviewed and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Murillo was arrested and booked into the county jail.

12-10-04 Vandalism 04-11207 Montara

On Friday December 12, 2004 at approximately 2:00pm unknown suspects broke the large window of the Neighborhood Mart with a piece of concrete and left without taking any products.

12-09-04 Auto Burglary 04-11208 Miramar

On Thursday December 09, 2004 at approximately 6:30pm the victim of an auto burglary parked her vehicle in the driveway of her residence on Miramar Drive in Miramar. On Friday December 10 at approximately 5:00am the victim’s husband informed her that her purse that was left in the unlocked vehicle had been tampered with. Various items were taken.

12-10-04 Public Intoxication 04-11224 Montara

Deputies responded to a call on 11th Street in Montara on the report of a male hitting a screaming female in front of the residence. Deputies contacted the male,age 57, of Montara. He was found to be intoxicated in public. He was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail.

12-11-04 DUI 04-11259 Hwy 1

On December 11, 2004, Deputies assigned to the “Avoid the 23” Task Force which is tasked with locating and arresting persons operating motor vehicles while intoxicated effected a traffic stop on a vehicle that was in the north bound lane traveling south bound in reverse. Deputies contacted the driver, age 48. A field sobriety evaluation was conducted and he was found to be driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and transported to the county jail.

12-13-04 Stolen Vehicle 04-11280 El Granada

On December 13, 2004 at approximately 7:20am, Deputies were dispatched to Avenue Alhambra in El Granada on a report of a stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle reported that it was parked in the assigned stall the night before. This is the second time since August 2004 that this vehicle was taken. The first time the vehicle was recovered in Pacifica without damage. The owner of the vehicle has no information on a possible suspect. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

12-13-04 Auto burglary 04-11281 El Granada

Deputies were sent to Avenue Alhambra on the report of an auto burglary. They met with the reporting party who informed Deputies that the vehicle was parked in the assigned stall on Avenue Alhambra. The subjects pried open the rear driver side window to gain access. Various items were taken.

12-13-04 Residential Burglary 04-11285 El Granada

On December 13, 2004 Deputies were dispatched to meet with the victim of a residential burglary. The victim told Deputies that between the hours of 12:00 on December 12th and 8:00 December 13th unknown subjects entered his residential construction site and removed numerous construction items. The site was unsecured and the tools were being stored in the open garage/storage area. The victim has no idea as to possible suspects.

12-14-04 Auto Burglary 04-11307 El Granada

On December 14, 2004 at approximately 7:45am Deputies responded to a home on Ferdinand Avenue in El Granada on a report of an auto burglary. Unknown subjects entered a locked vehicle that was parked directly in front of the garage to the residence and took the stereo.

12-17-04             High Risk Search Warrant               04-11385 El Granada

While on patrol Deputies developed information regarding a series of thefts, and burglaries, that had occurred both locally and in Pacifica. This information lead to the serving of a “high risk search warrant” on an address on Corona, in El Granada. Twenty five members of the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team made entry into the residence and arrested 5 subjects inside the home. The Sheriff’s Office Detectives followed up with the search and recovered stolen property, and drugs.
