Fred has performed or recorded with such artists as Count Basie, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Lou Rawls, Max Roach, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Nancy Wilson, Lena Horne, Billy Eckstine, Steve Allen, Bobby Hutcherson, and Louis Bellson
 
Baritone Jamie Davis, a member of the Count Basie Orchestra, exhibits the influence of the late greats Joe Williams and Lou Rawls, in his own highly personal style.
