Tip a Cop night at Camerons benefiting Special Olympics

On Wednesday, June 2, 2010, the Half Moon Bay Police Department along with Cameron’s Restaurant will again be hosting the annual Law Enforcement “Tip A Cop” night benefiting Special Olympics.  The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to enhance and expand the year round sports training and competition programs that Special Olympics offers to the developmentally disabled children and adults of the coast side community and San Mateo County.

Cameron’s Restaurant will once again be hosting this fun event, along with the Half Moon Bay Police Department.  At the event we will be conducting a silent auction.  But the success of the auction would not be possible without the support of people in our community.

Money raised from the auction along with tips and T-shirt sales allowed us to raise over $15,000, again, the most ever raised in a single Tip-a-Cop event in the State of California. In the past ten years we have raised over $100, 000 for Special Olympics.

Please help us insure the continued success of Special Olympics, San Mateo County Special Olympics athletes are never charged to participate in any sports training or competition programs.  Special Olympics receives no federal or government funding.  All the money needed to provide Special Olympics programs to our athletes, is generated by fundraisers, such as “Tip A Cop”, and the generosity of people and organizations in our community.

Your support will help us continue to provide our Special Olympics programs to the over `100 developmentally disabled children and adults in our community.

I hope we can count on your support
