Volunteers needed for Adopt-A-Family registration

We need bilingual volunteers to register client families for the 2011 Adopt-A-Family program. Registration is from 9-4 on Oct. 1, 8, 22, and 29. Volunteers can give as few as two hours; there will be an orientation/training in September for the volunteers.

Each year, Coastside Hope’s Christmas Bureau Adopt-a-Family program provides gifts of new clothes, toys, food and other items to approximately 350 low-income families or seniors on fixed incomes.

Over the years, the program has become an opportunity for many people in the community to share in the holiday spirit by sponsoring, or adopting, families or seniors. With the support of so many sponsors and the boundless energy of so many volunteers, over 1,500 residents in our community also share in the happiness of the holiday season.
