Driving without a license, but the intent to get one; warrant arrests in Moss Beach and Princeton, a stolen care at McNee Ranch; and this incident over unleashed dogs:

A female subject contacted the Harbor Master who then contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report a battery. She told the Deputies that she was walking her dog when a male subject and his two dogs that were not on leash approached her. She asked the male to leash his dogs they argued and he slugged her in the face. There were no witnesses to this incident.

Come stroll through this beautiful blufftop open space, lead by Alvaro Jaramillo and Gary Deghi, HMB wildlife biologist, environmental consultant and Sequoia Audubon member. Apply your workshop skills and identify birds and other wildlife. Warm beverages and cookies will be served at the end.

Wednesday, by Powerlines Productions in association with Wilson Productions (Really… 100 Foot!) and a preview of “Great Highway” by Bay Area Surf Productions, not yet released. 

In November, 2001 100-foot waves rolled into Mavericks.  These were possibly the biggest waves ever recorded at Mavericks.  They were too big for the contest.  Instead the surfers gathered and surfed them for fun and somehow made it out safely.  Filmmakers Eric Nelson and Curt Myers captured it on film (one from land, one from sea) and thus 100’ Wednesday our movie was created.  We are working on getting Grant Washburn or Doc Rennecer to come talk about the day because they were surfing it.  Filmmaker Eric Nelson will be there.

A powerhouse team of veterans.  Dave Samuels, vibraphone and marimba, has performed and recorded with a broad scope of artists, Oscar Peterson and Stan Getz to the Yellowjackets and Frank Zappa.  Percussionist/drummer, Alex Acuna is famed as a master in Afro-Cuban/Latin style but also played for Elvis Presley, Diana Ross and jazz fusion with Weather Report.  For over two decades Bill O’Connell has been the pianist, arranger and contributing composer with jazz flutist Dave Valentin. while working with such great jazz artists as Mongo Santamaria, Kenny Rankin, Sonny Rollins, and more.

The National Weather Service is forecasting that we may see snow on the Coastside by Friday night.

After a quiet weather day today and Wednesday…A return to cold wintry conditions are expected across the San Francisco and Monterey Bay region by Thursday.

A strong storm system currently in Canada will dive to the southeast and be near the San Francisco bay area Friday night. Ahead of the low, rainfall will spread across our area starting Thursday and continuing into Friday. Rainfall amounts could exceed half an inch for cities with more than an inch possible for higher elevations.

Snow levels will drop through the day and be under 1500 feet for most of San Francisco bay and between 2000 and 2500 feet on friday. Significant snow accumulations will be possible for local mountain ranges. Even colder air will continue to filter in through friday night with snow levels potentially dropping down to sea level.

Although the storm system is still a few days away…Confidence is fairly high that we will see much colder than normal weather and very low snow levels. It is important to note that at this time there is still some uncertainty with the chance for accumulating snow at very low elevations. Even if the snow does not accumulate at sea level, it will likely impact local passes and any roads above the 1000 foot level.

The County Public Works Department has released copies of the three proposals from organizations wishing to operate the Public, Educational, and Governmental (PEG) TV station on the Coastside.  You can download and comment on these PDF’s now.
